System Options allow for specific iMedConsent system options to be updated within the application. Most of the features here are for the IRM staff that download the server patches and maintain the system components. These features will be overviewed briefly.

Network:

  • User Document Path - Shows the network path of the documents created locally at the facility.

  • Document Path - Shows the network path of the standard documents in iMedConsent at the facility.

  • Image Path – Shows the network path of the images in iMedConsent at the facility.

  • Email Address - System Feature (Please ignore at this time).
  • Database - Launch Database Wizard - Selecting this button allows for testing the server/database connection.

Automatic Updates - This default is usually not changed. Asks administratives how they want to be notified of updates to iMedConsent program and content. The default is set to download the updates automatically and notification upon completion and ready to be installed.

    • Server Port

    • Context

Documents - There are several items on this screen. It is recommended that some of the changes should be completed by the iMedConsent coordinators (Consent Timeout, Auto-Shutdown).

      • Consent Timeout - The default number of days consents can be “held for signature” is 30 days (720 hours). Many sites have increased this number to 60 (1440 hours), 90 (2160 hours), or even 120 (2880 hours) due to surgery schedules. Keep in mind, this change affects the entire program, not just one specialty.

      • Signature Device - Lists at the top the epads most frequently used at the facility.

      • Disable Electronic Signing if no Signature Pad Installed – Defaulted un-checked.

      • Auto-Shutdown - The default number is 60 minutes before an inactive iMedConsent will timeout. Many sites have increased or reduced this value to be in synch with CPRS. Keep in mind, this change affects the entire program.

      • Document Image - System Feature (Please ignore at this time).
      • Storage Path - System Feature (Please ignore at this time).
